Ha-RGB: IC 1318/Gamma Cygni Nebula, Sadr Region, Butterfly Nebula; Crescent Nebula/NGC 6888

The hydrogen-alpha gas (red colour) rich-region of the Gamma Cygni Nebula, also known as the Sadr Region or IC 1318, is a diffuse emission nebula that can be seen around Sadr (Gamma Cygni), the star at the center of the Northern Cross; and the large star to the left in this image, which marks the heart of Constellation Cygnus, the Swan.
The Crescent Nebula (to the right in this image) is an emission nebula located in the constellation Cygnus. It has an apparent magnitude of 7.4 and lies at an approximate distance of 5,000 light years from Earth. The nebula occupies an area of 18 x 12 arc minutes of apparent sky. It has the designation NGC 6888 in the New General Catalogue.
Nikon D5300 (full spectrum modified); IDAS HEUIB-II UV/IR Cut Filter; William Optics RedCat 51 Telescope @ 250mm / f/4.9; ISO 1600; STC Duo-Narrowband (H-alpha and OIII @10nm) Filter; Skywatcher EQ6-R equatorial mount; guided with Altair GPCAM2 290; and PHD2; 34 x 6 minute subs (total integration is 3 hours and 24 minutes).
Shot in 14 bit RAW; stacked using DSS with flat, dark and bias calibration frames; processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop CC. Star reduction in Pixinsight using a mask and StarNet++.
