West Carleton, ON
DECLARATION: There was NO Baiting involved. The NHO was hunting naturally.

In the first two images, the owl is dropping down from its perch.

The owl goes under the snow then pops up; and in images 3 and 4 is looking around; having secured it's pray under the snow.

In images 5-7, the NHO has brought the Vole to the top of the snow and after securing it in it's beak, is preparing to fly away.
The good news: All this took place right in front of me. The bad news is that it flew right towards me and very quickly was inside the minimum focus distance of the lens.
I cannot believe the resolving power of this lens.
