Bringing Home the Bacon….Errr…Grasshopper: Chipping Sparrow

(Spizella passerina)

Beckwith Township, Ontario, Canada.

Crown bristling, this Chipping Sparrow was heading back to the nest with a grasshopper in its beak; presumably to feed its young; and the look said: "You are NOT taking this grasshopper away from me!!"
