On Wednesday June 10, 2015 there was a major storm passing through our area. A severe T-Storm warning; along with a Tornado Watch had been posted by Environment Canada. Several severe cells had already passed through when about 4:50PM there was a bright flash; followed immediately by a horrific BANG; and my wife and I thought that we had been hit; as there was a simultaneous hydro blackout. I called my neighbour (and fellow PBaser Wadec); who lives next door; and he said that he and his wife thought that THEY had been hit. As it turns out, neither of us had been; but the lightning DID strike a hydro pole just around the corner; setting the pole ablaze. Wade called me as he and his wife were on their way into a nearby town for supper; and I went out and took the two posted images. Power was restored by 7:20PM....In time to watch Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals...That's hockey to you non-North Americans....
