I've seen hundreds of these birds over the years; but never realized their beaks have such a green tint.
Note: The greenish hue on the bill is only visible in the Spring. The pigmentation change, which probably plays a role in mating behaviour, is largely hormone induced.

Beautiful lighting and background. These birds were so common in my childhood but not now.
