Zurich here I come...

On the flight over from ORD...
- there's a baby cockroach which came by my seat, ewwww!

Immigration at zurich...
- why is it so easy to pass through immigration?
if this was the US, I would have been grilled nine times by now.
but nope, for the swiss, it was just a simple stamp on the passport. nothing.

Trams...
- think this is like HK MTR (not newyork subway, mind you), that's above ground.
It's clean, efficient, and goes everywhere.

Apartment...
- this is japanese tiny! one hop from door to bed,
another hop from bed to dining set. wow.
how come zurich people are not claustiphobic?

More trams...
- eh... am I supposed to do something to my travel card?
I both this 3 day pass, but neither does going up/down trams check the ticket.
in fact, trams are so free to hop on I wonder if everyone really paid.
I guess I am from HK and cannot trust people. So am I a fugitive now?

Even more trams...
- the tram drivers here are NICE.
They do wait for you to get on / off.
People are slower than HK, but then, everywhere is.

Bahnhofstrasse...
- Happy to report that it has most of the brands I need/want.
. heh. but it's short. The street itself has the feel
of Regent/Old Bond Street in london, except narrower and with trams.
Or for San franciscans, it is kinda like Union Square but much cleaner.

- why are things so packaged? it's like Waitrose in london,
or Wellcome in hongkong.
Something about not seeing the real
market scares me.
I guess I'm a bit too picky about food.

TV...
- look, I'm going to be so good at french.
I refuse to watch the german channels, and I can only osmosis with
the french ones. oh my.
