According to the Ranger, these mountains were named when one time an explore came to Glacier Bay on a fair weather day and saw how pretty the ranges was. The amsuing thing is that, it is really hard to get good weather in this part of the bay, so the explorer had been really fortunate, and the name of
the ranges had become a good joke on itself.
