From 2007 to 2012, we specialized in aerial photography from 0 to 130m (0 to 400') altitudes using radio-controlled helicopters but most work is using full-size aircraft.
OSH (site access) and CAA policies have prompted the change.
Using the NZ Civil Aviation guidelines, we use a commercial aircraft and pilot for our aerial photography sessions. With good use of zoom lenses, we are able to provide a better overall site portfolio than using the models - while being fast and cost-effective. Drones now have an unfortunate reputation - CAA laws and certification, insurance and privacy concerns can make operation unnecessarily difficult but they are the right choice for some of our work.
We also enjoy ground-based event photography.
