Built from the 12th to the 16th c on the site of a former leper colony, it is first placed under the patronage of St. Stephen, before being dedicated to St Mary Magdalene during its expansion in the sixteenth century.
It belongs to the parish of long Plomeur . At the time of the Concordat in 1802, it is attached to that Penmarc.
