In the morning we were heading towards the Brahmagiri peak and on the way saw this family of four, a tusker with two female and a small calf. We stopped and watched them from a safe distance. They didn’t allow us to approach any closer to ensure the safety of the calf. The family crossed the valley and climbed uphill for food. The two female were protecting the calf by hiding it between them. The calf could be seen only for a few moments.

The situation was not at all good for shooting them . . .they were far away and the visibility was very poor due to mist cover. Still tried to capture the moments . . . Later the lighting condition and visibility improved a bit.
