my originally processed image ...initially I tried to pull out as much detail as I could with from the S3, much in the way I did with my RAW converted (and sometimes dual converted) S2 files
this is a mistake with the S3, I think
the files produced lack "zip" and have a "muddiness" compared to the S2 or other DSLRs
easing up a bit on shadows and boosting contrast correct this, yielding a file with a wee bit less detail and lots more "ooomph"
I left in the CA & flare, which while a problem with this photo, were easy to work in PS thanks to the deep jpg files produced by the S3 shooting orig orig off auto fine 12MB
I think this image a testament to the quality of the lens & camera
