Most of my commissions have been for the purpose of on-site advertising to bring people into the store. My free style lettering and vibrant colors give a cheery appearance and make a shop window 'pop'. When I approach a storefront, I think about what the passerby will see and what I can do that will attract the eye. I find that in this day of stick-on applications, people are surprised and fascinated by the presence of an actual artist at work, and the effect of hand applied lettering conveys much more vitality than factory produced characters or stencils.
