Many American Poles, Ukrainians, Jews and people of other nationalities have their family roots in Poland. My offer is to visit these places, photograph them, and provide you with documentary photographs, so you can see how this place looks like now. The set of photos will include the village church, tserkva or the synagogue, the cemetery, the town hall, street scenes, houses and points of special interest. There may be also a house or street where your ancestors lived if only this place still exists and you know the exact address. The photos will become a family treasure that you will share with friends and family for many years.
NOTICE: Polish national borders and some of the geographical names are not the same as they were in the past. You must know the current or past name of the village or city. In case of some small localities an additional data regarding district and borough (community) can be required to identify the place correctly.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I have always loved travels and it was then when my love for photography started and developed. My first camera was a 35mm SLR Praktica FX 2, that accompanied me in my numerous voyages in Poland, many European countries, Russia, Georgia, United Arab Emirates, Canada and United States where I spent almost two years. Over the years I shot countless rolls of film, mostly B&W negatives and color slides. I developed many of my B&W prints myself in my home darkroom.
I am drawn to nature subjects: landscapes, flowers, trees, weather, rocks, clouds, sunrises and sunsets. My current photo subjects include also architecture and travel photography, flora and fauna, abstract and macro art. My travels have taken me on explorations all around the world, I am always looking for images that enable me to explore unique destinations and to interact with diverse cultures across the globe. I believe that I have an intuitive sense of people and places. My photographic goal is to portray not only the beauty of nature and architecture, the past and the present. I also try to express my feelings connected with those people and places. Often I find the spirit in the rock, the living tree, the window, different objects, giving them name and soul. These are the magical moments that I seek out and am fortunate enough to share through my photography. I hope to make images that search beyond the surface, stop time, and get to an inner reality before the moment vanishes.
Although I am self-taught, photography is my biggest and long-lasting hobby and interest. I have a passion for photography and it is a life-long never-ending challenge for me.
PROCESS STATEMENT
A digital photography became for me a whole new world when I discovered it in 2004. From this moment my photography had moved from film to digital one. I’ve found it very fascinating and giving huge possibilities to use brand new digital photographic techniques together with computer tools in post processing. It gives me kind of the creative control over the final result. I use Nikon Digital cameras with Nikkor lenses and I do my processing with Adobe Photoshop. To those capabilities I add my personal sensitivity on different aspects of life, nature and art.
I hand-print all images on Epson or Canon inkjet professional printers with the highest quality archival materials available to create art. I put an emphasis on highest possible quality and superior print longevity to be enjoyed for many years. All images will be printed exclusively in Limited Editions unless otherwise noted. The prints are signed, stamped and numbered sequentially regardless of size on the verso of the print. Each print print is accompanied by relevant Certificate of Authenticity.
