Arlon, Caroline Comings writing; met you at the NPSOT meeting in Kerrville; you work is awesome; will view more thoroughly; regards to you and your talented wife.
Carla and I have decided to continue to Big Bend. Everything is running smooth and thanks for all you help. We will update later.
Arlon, followed you here from FB. I really enjoy your photography..keep on clickin"..
Arlon! These make my day better. It is nice to see the great outdoors while I sit in the concrete jungle that is Houston. It makes me miss geology and camping!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks you for sharing the old pictures of Korea that no longer exits. I was stationed there 1964; most of the battle damage was repaired by then. I married a Korean American in 1968; met at the Univ of Hawaii. We returned to Korea for two weeks last year....7th economy in the world and more wired country. If you check out my photos of the trip, let me know what you think!
We met on the Permian basin field course this past fall. I have a great respect for photography and you have some absolutely beautiful shots in here. I noticed you mentioned your love of photography coming from your dad, I got my creative side from my dad as well. Anyway just wanted to say excellent work, you got a real talent for seeing a great shot and getting it.
Very nice collection Arlon. I like the way you laid out your Astro AWD. I will be letting my friend know to check it out.
Love your work Dude! Sweet!!!! lol, you already know that. Sure glad we have became FB pals. Hope it last for awhile. If we get political or religious, I'm thinking you will loose all respect for me. I do get radical at times and it is election season. Beware and don't read that stuff, I don't want to ruin the relationship. I value you as a photography buddy Arlon and that's the way I want to leave it. Thanks for having me as part of you FB & photographic world.
Thank you SO much for all your beautiful pictures - a real inspiration.
I was wondering about your lens: Sears 28-70mm F3.5-4.5
Which camera were you able to mount that lens on?
Also I am very interesten in doing macro photography, but giving my status as a happy amateur on a tight budget, I would like to know if you could provide some advise on which lens to choose for a Nikon D40 with the aim of taking great (super)macro pictures without being robbed. I do not care if it has any autofocus or anything.
I am so glad you sent me this link. Your photography is AMAZING! The detail that can be seen along with perfect timing. Your work is truly inspiring!!!!
Thank you for posting your photos of the monopod/fanny pack set up. It is exactly what I am trying to put together for my heavy lenses. I'm on whale watching boats a lot and its so hard to hand hold my lenses without ending up with an aching back and hands.
Can you tell me what monopod/head you are using?
Again, thanks for sharing.
Thank for sharing, your work is perfect!

Thans for posting your shots. I love your moon shots and have a question for you. Have you been able to capture a clear moon shot with blue sky in the background? If so how would you pull out the blue sky color in your shots? Thanks,
thank you for sharing,
your suggestions and photo techniques will be very useful

I think we might be cousins. My dad is Sherrill Motsch who lives in Rockport Texas. Are you the same Arlon Motsch that builds boats?
Wow, you've done some great stuff! Want to be a mentor? (Only half joking here)
Hi Arlon just by a lucky chance I ended up through your images. I loved your cats gallery so much that I had to add you to my favourite's list. Waiting for more!
Thanks for the comments on my dragracing pictures

We enjoyed meeting you yesterday at Brazos Bend State Park. Thanks for the link to this website. You've got some great photos!
Hi Arlon, Thankyou..your work is awe inspiring!
Hi Arlon, thanks for the comments and interest shown in my galleries. The Russian cruise
was fantastic and the trip to Exmouth was well worth it. We had a few weeks in June, left the boat and the Toyota there, and went back for another couple of weeks in August
and then drove home again. We caught stacks of fish, nothing "huge" but over 30 different
varieties. I will post some photos tonight. I am going fishing for a couple of weeks so
will be offline until 8th November.

Hi Arlon, your macro shots of insects are fantastic. I'm just starting to get into this area myself. Thanks also for your comments on my "The Rocks" image of Sydney.
Thank you for your visit to my gallery and also for your kind comments. I've also seen your galleries and they are great.
Great pics. Can't wait for the hairs on a fly with your new telephoto lens.
Great seeing you at the reception.

Arlon, Thanks for stopping by my pbase galleries and passing along your comment. The time and effort to look and write back are very greatly appreciated. What I have found, in the short time that I have been doing macro, is that nothing is duplicable and that luck and preparation get the thing done. BTW, your macro of the Dragonfly is nice...now go out and get some more images and start filling up your gallery. Thanks again. Stephen
