This is a picture that should tell a story but I could not bring myself to tell the whole story in the image. It will probably be a learning experience....
Just under the bread seller's arm, medics are trying to revive an old man who fell. He was lying on his back, blood trickling down the hot concrete slope from his head; others look on. The medics were trying to revive him for some time but by the looks of the situation, it did not look good. It was such an amazing summer day in London after a cold winter and I imagined this man going for a walk down the market to get some fresh bread and vegetables, whistling his favourit tune perhaps...
Pretty much how I felt at the time actually.
There was such a concern in the air as others contemplated their mortality, but a few meters away, a man sells bread and while not oblivious, the situation is not stopping him going about his business. It just reminds me again about perspective......and that life goes on......
