We had a great view of the old post office, now restored as the Fullerton Hotel. We could see the bumboats, now for tourists, running along the Singapore River.

Our last stop was the Orchard Garden at the Singapore Botanical Gardens. Beautiful! I’ll post more pictures of the gardens later in another gallery (when I get the time). After touring the gardens, we left the group and had a lovely lunch at the restaurant there, surrounded by greenery. Excellent food, and surprisingly reasonable prices. A major find!

The Star ferries run from the Kowloon side to the Hong Kong side constantly. We took one on our last trip, lots of fun. They’re very cheap, even if you pay the extra for upstairs, where there are benches.

Now, this is almost unbelievable. I bought three – yes, that’s right, three – pair of shoes at this store in one of the malls. (I often go a year or more without finding any shoes that fit and feel good. I think three pair at once must be a record of sorts for me,  )

The Star Ferry Terminal, one of the busiest places around. And that’s saying a lot, because Hong Kong is always crowded!

Our cabin is small but comfortable. A little short on storage space . . .
