This is a pet peeve of mine: shopping carts left taking up a parking space. Does it really take that long to take them back to the cart return areas made for that purpose? I KNOW none of my fellow PADers would EVER do something like this!

I've never seen a cart like this one. Out here in the Seattle area, all the carts are rolling baskets/boxes made of wire or plastic, or industrial grade platform carts such as those at Costco stores. My horizons have been widened!

You know, it bugs me, too, but I have to admit that I do it on occasion if I can't find a parking spot close to the cart return and I have my two kids with me while I'm shopping. I at least try to get the cart to as unproblematic an area as possible. I can't leave the kids in the car to return it, and dragging them from the car to the return and back...well, pooh, I guess that's what I should be doing, isn't it? As PBase is my witness, I'll never, ever leave a cart in the middle of the lot again :)

I have always had a fetish about returning carts . . something in my anal retentive up-bringing. If it doesn't get all the way back to a curb or cart corral, it gets pushed out of the way. . . but htis nmade for a pretty cool 'cultural' picture =)
