This is one of the cool things about Germany - all of these farm roads were paved, making the landscape excellent for exploring, particularly on bicycle. You could take off and go all over the place. Here in the U.S., someone would probably throw a beer bottle at you as they drove past, or perhaps shoot at you for trespassing.
I got to do a little bit of exploring here when I stopped through Ramstein and got to visit the town that my friends Charles and Danielle lived in.
