Unfortunately, the rules in my subdivision did not call for the builders to sod the back lawn, so I had to do it myself. They offered to add it on for $300 when I bought the house, but I didn't want to start adding stuff to the house at that point. I did it myself and probably wound up spending more than that on the water bill alone, and didn't really have any significant progress until the rain started in the Fall anyway.
