4.9L 12 cylinder, 600hp; 5 speed gearbox

1970 - 1972 Factory prototype used by Jo SIFFERT & Mark DONOHUE.

08/1971 : The Gulf Blue front nose from 917 Long tail ex-24h du Mans ( Rodriguez ) was fitted into the car and tests were carried out on the car

1971 - 1972 : tested and developed in Hockenheim, Weissach, Nürburgring.

1972 to 1974 raced in Hockenheim, Laguna Seca, Riverside, Imola, Silverstone, Nürburgring by Fittipaldi, Kauhsen, Kemp, Steckkönig

1975 retired from active competition and placed in dry storage untill 1997

2000 Goodwood, 2004 Daytona Rennsport Reunion, 2010 Salzburg demo by Gerhard Berger

restored in 1998-1999

2012 : restored with naturally aspirated engine 4.9L

2013 : painted back in Gulf blue "08/1971" livery

2015 : Classic Enudrance Racing, driver : Jürgen Barth
