Biltmore Village, NC is a compact but bustling district located outside of the gates of the sweeping Biltmore Estate, founded by Cornelius Vanderbilt. The Biltmore Estate is the largest private home in the United States, and the first managed forest in the country. Fredrick Law Olmstead planned the site and gardens, and Richard Morris Hunt served as architect for the main house.
