Michelle, Chazzy and I had a great hike on a perfect fall day along the ridges of the Daniel Boone National Forest in Jackson County, KY last Sunday. The forest service road makes for great level hikes and feeder flocks of warblers would work their way through the trees from time to time. Species seen included Black-throated Green, Magnolia, Bay-Breasted, Ovenbird, Hooded, Tennessee, Chestnut-sided, and others. We also found three different YB-Cuckoos along the ridges. Overall a great day to be out in nature.
