Michelle, Chazzy and I had a great day of hiking along White Oak and Horse Lick Creeks in Rockcastle County today. We found six species of wood warbler that included Northern Parula, Louisiana Waterthrush, Black-throated Green, Black-and-white, Yellow-throated, and Yellow-rumped. We also found several Blue-headed Vireo and Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers. Wildflowers were blooming everywhere and butterflies and bees were working most of them. It was a great day to be out in the Daniel Boone National Forest.
