On October 21, 2006, nineteen members and guests of the Buchanan County Bird Club enjoyed a day of birding at the home of David and Susan Raines. The Raines' prepared lots of great food and the birds cooperated during the day with looks at several different species of sparrow as well as many other great finds. After a cookout, the group headed up to Beaver Knob, a reclaimed mine site on the Virginia-Kentucky border, to search for more sparrows.
