Hello. My name is Kimberly. You showed up as a 3ed cousin on my DNA I had done. I've been trying to work on my family tree for years. We may be related thru the chancey side. I'm not sure. I dont know alot about my great grandfather. He and my great grandmother never married but had a child together. It would be nice to be able to connect with relatives.

Hello, Ed....I am working on my Justus tree. I descend from Joab & Sally Sarah Cline. I was curious if you know of any of those Elswick's who married into Coopers up there in Virginia? My parents grew up and/or lived around Jolo, Bradshaw Mountain, Pikeville, KY, etc.....Thanks, Katha (Justus) Fields, New Orleans Louisiana.

I am also descended from Joseph Talbott and Mary Farquhar. They came to Ohio 1799-1800, and Joseph ended up starting a real estate development that became the village of Richmond, Ohio, where both Joseph and Mary are buried. The Talbotts came from Maryland and are descended from Richard Talbott, who landed in Maryland in 1650. My father, who did considerable research into the matter, said he believed that it's likely that most if not all two-tt Talbotss in the US are descended from Richard Talbott and thus related. My line left Ohio about 1894 and moved to Oklahoma where they claimed land in the opening of the Cherokee Strip in the state's panhandle. They lasted there about 10 years and then moved to California, where my father was born.

I am really interested in finding more information about the life of Issac Cole. I have done some research and I have found conflicting information. One account had him living in Baltimore as a child - then kidnapped and taken to Virginia. Anyone know if this is true? Also, does anyone have more detailed information on the Indian Massacre of the Clay Family and Issac's connection with that event?

Ed - I recently found some very old pictures of my grandmother's parents (T T Smith & Lousia Thornton). Also one on I believe to be Louisa's Parents. They got to be over 100 years old. They were in a drawer in my aunts house, I found them when cleaning out her Apt. After she passed away. They are about 16 x 20. Jim Rasnake

For some reason that name Talbott sounds familiar to me. Did anyone know Garland Roberts Sr or his wife June? My mom graduated from Hurley High School In 1960 or 61 Patricia Roberts. I was born there but moved to Florida when I was five. Just found the site and loved the pictures. I just remember as a kid her talking about the Talbotts. Nice site keep up the good work

I descend from Joseph Talbott's younger brother Kinsey. Caleb Plummer Talbott was his son. Our common ancestors would be John Talbott and Mary Johns. Always nice to talk to another cousin.

I am a great great great great grandson of Joseph Talbott and Mary Farquhar. Their fifth child, John Johns Talbott married Mary Maxwell on August 2, 1820. Joseph P. Talbott was their sixth child, and he married Mary Jane Miller on September 27, 1853. Their second son, Egbert Miller Talbot married Elsie Day at her father's farm at West Lawn, Iowa on October 27, 1887. He died in a power plant accident at the Anaconda copper mine in Montana on July 6, 1895. My grandmother, Hazel Talbott was his second of two children. Was Caleb P. Talbott a grandson of Joseph Talbott and Mary Farquhar?
