Cumberland Falls - January 1, 2010

Michelle, Chazzy and I had a great day hiking the area around Cumberland Falls, Kentucky. The falls are called the Niagara of the South and they lived up to their name today. We stayed that night for a chance to see the famous and elusive "moonbow", this being one of just a couple places in the world where this phenomena can be seen. We were successful and I even managed to capture it on film with a 4-minute exposure.

Ed looks good. The pictures are outstanding. Mary and I visited the falls a few years ago but did not see the the moon bow. We stayed up most of the night but no bow. It was a cold time also. We camped in the park.
