I made a quick trip out to the Breaks Park this morning in order to cover another area for the 2007 VSO State Park Foray. It was a foggy morning in Campground C and I only managed 13 species or so. The lake was beautiful as I watched 23 Wood Ducks go drifting through the mist. I must have been close to a Beaver lodge as one kept swimming back and forth about 20 feet off the shoreline and slapping his tail against the water. The fog hung in the gorge with The Towers and Pine Mountain rising above it. Then it was back to reality and back to work by 9:00 a.m.
