Michelle, Chazzy and I spend a couple of hours hiking the Geologic Trail at the Breaks Interstate Park today. There was some snow and ice but that made for some beautiful scenery along the way. At Laurel Lake we found 13 Ring-necked Ducks, 6 Wood Ducks, and a single Pied-billed Grebe. At the Willowbrook Country Club we found an American Pipit. Michelle had earlier spotted a small gull over the golf course but by the time we got the truck turned around it had left (maybe a Boney?). Anyway, we had the park to ourselves and enjoyed what may be our last winter hike of the year.
