Michelle, Chazzy and I, along with Michelle's Mom Shirley, had a great day of birding and hiking at the Berea Woods on Saturday morning. Best birds of the day were great looks at a Yellow-billed Cuckoo and a pair of Summer Tanagers. A fledgling Gnatcatcher was found on the ground but it's parents were keeping a close eye on it. Lots of interesting flowers, plants, fungi and insects were out and about. Overall, a great day to be hiking the mountains of Kentucky.
