Probably more than anything else, I came to China to see the Great Wall.
It was disappointing that after sitting in gridlocked traffic for over an hour, we had just 90 minutes to explore. The first half-mile or so was packed with tourists and vendors.
It wasn't until we were beyond the fourth watch tower that the crowd thinned out and most of the vendors were left behind.
