Cloisonne is enameled copper. Here we watched a young artist carefully create patterns with small strips of copper hammered onto a vase. When the pattern was completed the vase was passed to another artist who filled in the design with enamel paint.
Almost every day our tour stopped at an art factory, gallery or school so we could learn about local arts and crafts and have plenty of time to shop. ;-)
