Sacred Way

The Sacred Way marks the entrance to a valley where emperors of the Ming Dynasty are buried. 500-year-old marble statues of animals and humans stand guard along the walkway.

Tombs of 13 emperors are in this area. While all the locations are known, only one tomb has been opened. It is a palace built 90 feet underground and furnished with weapons and household goods made of gold.
