This is the "official" spot where photographers are most likely to capture an image of a coho salmon airborne. We saw a lot of salmon in the calm pools below the rapids, but none of them were anxious to move upstream. One theory was that there's not enough water flowing over the rocks right now. Viewing might be better after the next rainstorm.
