The Clyde Dam was built in a mountainous area of a geologically active island. Engineering types would be amazed at all the special adaptations to insure its survival and continued functioning in an earthquake.
To get an idea of how massive this structure is, look for the tour group in orange rain jackets outside the power house.
There was water flowing over the spillway until 5 seconds before I took this photo. :-(
