Elwha River

Back out to the mouth of the Elwha River to see how it's changed in two weeks. More sand, rocks and woody debris brought down from Lake Mills create an ever-changing landscape.
The water looks gray and muddy, but the sediment must be rich in nutrients as more birds are coming here to feed.
