Dusty was the standout performer at the 2006 Hawaii Championships at Haleiwa staking claim on the Open Mens crown which earned him the Surfer of the Month honors for April. The victory elevated Dusty to the No. 1 position going into the Nationals. 2005/06 regular season stats: 4 victories and 1 conference title in Explorer Juniors.
