Paxoi, is the smallest island group within the Ionian Islands (the Heptanese). The largest island is Paxos and nearby Antipaxos. Antipaxos is famous for its wine and two of the finest sand beaches in the Ionian Sea, Voutoumi and Vrika. Gaios, Loggos, and Lakka, are the larger villages of Paxos. The main town of Paxos, and the seat of the municipality, is Gaios. The municipality has an area of 30.121 km2. The area of the island is 76 square kilometers. In Greek mythology, Poseidon created the island by striking Corfu with his trident, so that he and his wife Amphitrite could have some peace and quiet.(Wikipedia)
