Lisbon, is the capital and largest city of Portugal. Lisbon has a population of 545,796 while the metropolitan Lisbon area with suburbs has almost 3,000,000 inhabitants. It has been characterized as "City of the great seafarers-explorers", as well as "Princess of the Ocean".
Porto, is the second largest city in Portugal, after the capital Lisbon. Located along the mouth of the Douro River, in the north of the country, it is one of the oldest European centers and was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1996.(wikipedia)
