This is a cycle and footbridge across the River Foyle which opened on 25th June 2011. The bridge is intended to bring the largely Unionist East Derry closer to the largely Nationalist West Derry, The bridge was funded jointly by the Irish and British governments and the EU to the tune of £14 million in all and it is 235 metres long.
