Yes, this was taken in 1972. The haze that you see is the smoke from the Queen Mary burning in the background.

This one is pre 1977 - I can tell from a building not built yet in Sai Ying Pun - Is kotewall mansions in this shot to the right - the 12 story block that was knocked over in a landslide in 1972 - I have a macarbe interest as I lived around the area for many years and always wondered the exact spot. There is a big patch above Conduit rd up to po shan rd where the landslide started which you can still see today.
