It's Tai Tam Reservoir.

Tom,
Thank you for sharing all these beautiful pictures. I lived at Hatton Road and worked at HKU in the 70s and 80s. So many good memories there. I am sure this is a picture of Aberdeen Reservoir with the Shousan Hill, Deep water Bay, Tong Bo Chau, Repulse Bay and Middle Bay at the background.

I thought it was Tai Tam, but could be wrong. It's truly beautiful wherever it is.

Sorry I think its Tai Tam but as you say the memories fade, thirty something years later - I know we used to walk from Tai Tam to Aberdeen Reservoir on a Sunday. Could those three towers on the left hand side be Pokfulam?

Actually I'm now convinced that it was Aberdeen reservoir because you can also see Shousan Hill and Middle Bay in the distance as well. I'll update the caption.

I always thought it was Tai Tam but memory is fading. However when I look closer it might actually have been Aberdeen reservoir because there appears to be Deepwater Bay and Repluse Bay in the distance. The island on the right might be Tong Po Chau.

Looks too built up to be Tai Tam - Is it not Pok fu lam??
