Pictures from the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford, UK, July 2015. This is an annual fixture in my diary: you wait all year for it, and then in a flash it has gone. A wonderful show this year, with all sorts of highlights. This is the last year that the only flying Avro Vulcan will finally cease taking to the air: it flew rather more exuberantly on the Saturday than usual, and it did a wonderful flypast with the Red Arrows. Loads of fast jets: MiG-29, F-16s, F-18. And a moving commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain with a Balbo of Spitfires and Hurricanes, which also included a Messerschmitt 109, plus a display by the Blenheim I nightfighter.
