I'm putting this picture up because I rather like the curious effect I've accidentally achieved in Photoshop. This is a picture taken about 7 or 8 years ago using my OM2n and 300 mm lens on Velvia, scanned and resized to 900 pix vertical and 72 dpi. It was hand-held and showed some camera shake (unsurprisingly). To try to get rid of the shake, I ran it through PSCS2's Smart Sharpen to remove Motion Blur (amount 200%, radius 1 px). I then ran remove Lens Blur (100%, 0.3 px). The result is a stippling effect that I'd not anticipated. Re-running the filters gives variously accentuated stippling that I think may be worth exploring more.
