The Ends of Flying Legs again at Duxford (Flying Ankles?). The sun did come out occasionally, but there were frequent interruptions by rain. Grey clouds all over for the most part. Still, some interesting aircraft - most especially the Austrian P38 and the RNHF Swordfish - and it was great to see P51D Big Beautiful Doll back over from her new home in Germany. A few to start with - maybe a few more when I get some time.
UPDATE 11 July 2011: Unfortunately, on the second day of this show - which I did not attend - P51D Big Beautiful Doll was involved in a mid-air collision with one of the Skyraiders. Rob Davies, flying BBD was able to bale out and parachute to the ground safely, landing uninjured. But BBD herself crashed in a nearby field and looks to have been destroyed. I've added the last picture I took of her flying from 24hr before she crashed at the point she begins a pull up at the beginning of the break after the run up the airfield.
