To a conference in Dijon, France. I had some spare time after the meeting, so for a few hours, I played tourist in the town. The old town has been restored beautifully, as I hope some of these pictures show. Wonderful small restaurants live up to France's reputation for excellent cuisine. One of the most touching things in Dijon are the scattered memorials to resistance fighters who died at the hands of the Nazis: I only photographed a couple, but their presence frequently reminds the visitor of the bravery of that generation.
