What a coincidence. Siobhan and I were in Oaxaca for Day of the Dead also. We visited with don Isaac and family members about a week before the Day. He was very kind and considerate, as always. I had met him when I lived and worked in Mexico City back in the early 1990s. He hasn't changed much.. I felt fortunate this time to obtain one of his weavings and another by a cousin of his. I like supporting him and his industry. In fact, I have seen so much change in Mexico since my first visit there in the mid 1950's (due to my having Mexican relatives!). Many bemoan the bad side of Mexico but I know there is a vast history (my two trips there this year focussed on the Maya and the Zapotec/Mixtec epocs), a strong culture and many wonderful people, mostly outside of the DF. Keep up the good work!! John Pitts
