One of my favorite places to go and relax in New Mexico is the Albuquerque Biopark. I especially enjoy visiting the botanical gardens where one can witness an array of flowering plants, a Japanese garden, miniature trains, a children's garden with oversized insects or hang out by the lake and watch the ducks and geese at play. The butterfly pavilion which is open from May to early October is another delight! Usually in the springtime there is an orchid festival at the park which is worth the visit. The park provides a serene sitting for taking in the beauty of nature.
