Cathy and I hiked the West Coast Trail from Port Renfrew to Bamfield in 6 nights, 7 days. Despite the less than optimum low tide times, we hiked along the coast as much as possible. We also on occasion back tracked without our packs. It seemed to us that most of the other hikers did the west forest trail, not the west coast trail.
