Jim and I went out to Anza Borrego for two days over New Year. On the first day I hiked the Rock House - Bow Willow circuit and arrived back at camp to find Jim surrounded by a dozen big horn sheep. We spent a few hours watching them graze and were amazed to see them break down cactus with their horns and hooves and then consume the innards. In mid afternoon we took a drive though Arroyo Tapiado and returned through Arroyo del Diablo. The next day I hiked up Torote Canyon and then we drove up Shell Canyon road and I had a quick look for fossils.
