Helen Irby >> << Collection

These were recently purchased by me at auction from Mountain Home, Arkansas estates dealer, Dale Stillman. They are just a part of a huge collection which was gathered over the last 30 years by Helen Irby, a long time resident of Mountain Home, Arkansas. I am looking for a more complete biography of Helen, but for now, I have this from Mr. Stillman: "Helen was a member of the Earth Science Club there, as well as other organizations. Her husband was an engineer and worked on the dam projects there for the government. She collected many of the specimems herself, travelled throughout the US to buy unique items, and was also involved in lapidary." If anyone out there knew Helen or more about her, please email me, and we can add to her biography. She certainly had a wonderful collection. Some of these were sold as "unidentified", probably because they were taken from her display cabinets where she displayed them unlabeled. I believe many of those are Smithsonite, which I believe must have been her forte. Many of these pictures are from Mr. Spillman, but I will be replacing them with my own when I can find the time. Mr. Spillman's eBay screen name is antique-mtnhome if you want to view his fine items. If anyone can help me identifify the "unidentified" specimens, your help would be appreciated. Thanks.
